Welcome to Interdisciplinary Perspectives on Peace, Justice, and Inclusive Societies, a collaborative course provided by EUPeace.

EUPeace’s mission is to provide tomorrow’s citizens with the skills, knowledge, and experience to cultivate Peace, Justice, and Inclusive Societies.
This EUPeace course brings the EUPeace academic communities together to generate knowledge, competence and innovative approaches to fostering peace, justice, and inclusive societies. It is being developed by lecturers from all over the alliance, and it welcomes all interested students. This course is highly international.
All fields and sciences are required to grasp the conditions of conflict prevention, forecasting and resolution, in a world where material, technical and socio-political arrangements are intimately connected. This course is highly interdisciplinary.
Exploring the case of this year’s Nobel Peace laureate, we will critically analyze the conditions for peacebuilding and the laureate’s contribution as well as the selection narratives and the power structures surrounding the prize itself.

Individual research activities, information sharing and group discussions will build expertise in this course in real time.
Connect your research to the diverse perspectives in our Online Library! The learning modules make self-studies easy and accessible: they contain short videos, concept checks, and food for thought.
Our course work will integrate societal outreach and innovative practices because EUPeace is about strengthening the enabling conditions for peace: understanding them better through research, nurturing them actively through education, and fostering them broadly through societal outreach and innovative practices.
Guided by a mentor, course participants will develop team project to reach out beyond this course.
Course participants will acquire valuable future skills: the moderation of group discussions, active listening, leading a team, organizing the information flow – all of that in a completely digital setting.
This innovative teaching and learning experience has been developed in order to foster understanding the causes of conflict situations and peacebuilding, while at the same time gaining experience in how to manage conflicts effectively, and how to implement solutions to conflicts.
