Reflecting on learning
Essentially, all objects used for presentation can also be used to develop content. When learners create content, they engage with the subject matter in a special way. For example, learners can create web link collections that provide a good overview of a topic. To support them, the first links in this web link collection or the first terms in a glossary could be provided as example entries. The result can in turn be used to reinforce a question and presentation.

Don't just watch a video
Explanatory videos are often a good way to work through content. Interactive videos allow comments and notes to be written with timestamps.
This feature enables learners to
- Answer questions about specific sequences
- Take private notes on a video
- Discuss the video in the group

Learn and master terms with glossary and flashcard training
By creating a glossary, learners can develop definitions for technical terms. To do this, they must conduct extensive research and carefully consider what information should be included in a glossary and in what form. By making it available online, teachers can check the quality of the definitions.

The terms and definitions from glossaries can be transferred to flashcard training, which allows methods for practicing long-term memory to be applied. The system provides for the automatic filling of compartments of different sizes. The frequency with which the compartments are processed is determined by the learners themselves.

Developing content independently and cooperatively using a wiki
The wiki is the classic tool for the collaborative development of related content. Different people can work on different wiki pages at the same time, each representing different aspects. By working together on the content, learners have to negotiate on many levels and thus engage intensively with the subject matter. By making it available online, the teacher can ensure the quality of the entries. In ILIAS, the wiki also offers sophisticated tools for peer assessment.

Use web links to initiate learning or encourage independent research
With web links, you can make content available for learning purposes both from the learning platform itself and from the entire internet. In so-called web link collections, you can create structured, annotated overviews of specific topics. Web links and web link collections can thus serve as an ideal starting point for learners' independent research or as a comprehensive collection of materials.
