Screencast
In a classic screencast, the screen of the presenter or presenters is recorded. During the recording, a person operates this screen and explains what they are doing via voiceover. Normally, the person is not visible, but can also be shown through a facecam.
This video format is the best way to explain how to use software or homepages, etc. You can show step by step how to use them.

The quality of the voiceover is very important. If the people watching cannot see anyone, the focus on the voiceover increases. Any compromises in the sound are less forgiven than with video.
