In particularly large groups, especially during face-to-face sessions, the question often arises as to how all learners can be involved in the activity, for example, to maintain attention or to obtain timely feedback on the progress of the event.

LiveVoting is the audience response tool of the ILIAS learning platform. You can display different types of questions (multiple choice, ranking, and free text) during a course and have the entire class answer them live. No additional app or registration on the platform is required; an internet connection and a device with a browser are sufficient to participate in live voting. You can decide whether you want to display the results live or only show them when a round of questions has ended.
For example, ask comprehension questions in between or use LiveVoting as a mood barometer to get feedback on your presentation from the plenary session.

onlinequestions.org is a tool for collecting questions from the audience. It was developed at Philipps University in Marburg and is available free of charge. After joining a session, audience members can use their mobile devices to post questions on a digital screen. These can be viewed immediately by everyone present. Each question can be “upvoted” so that it appears first in the order. This allows the speaker to identify which questions are most pressing for the audience and moderate the course accordingly.

Live online questions for large events: free-of-charge, anonymous, ad-free, easy-to-use
OnlineQuestions.org is an online tool to ask and upvote questions during large lectures, classes, meetups, or conferences. It is free-of-charge, easy-to-use, anonymous (requires no login or registration), and is ad-free.
An interactive event session is simply created by opening the web page OnlineQuestions.org and pressing the Admin button. The speaker chooses a unique event number and an administrative password. No registration is required. The unique event number must be at least 5 digits long (more digits are recommended).
During the event, the audience members open the web page OnlineQuestions.org with any internet accessible device, enter the unique event number, and press the Enter button. Now, they can submit a new question by pressing the New button. A dialog appears to enter the question text. Furthermore, different colors for the question container can be selected. Because no personal login is required, it is ensured that the questions are anonymous.
Submitted questions are visible to all participants of the event. Thus, no confidential information should be entered. Note, that someone external, who guesses the unique event number, might also access the question data. However, such a coincidence is very unlikely. If more data protection is required, an event number with 9 or more digits should be chosen during the creation of the event.
Own questions and questions by other audience members can be upvoted by clicking on the colored question container. By default, the questions are sorted by the number of received votes (but other sorting criteria can be selected as well).
After the event, the speaker has the option to directly swipe all question data. Eight days after the creation of the event, all data is automatically deleted.

Oncoo.de is a platform that supports digital tools for cooperative classroom teaching. Here, you can start card queries, organize helper systems or a learning tempo duet, implement the well-known placemat method (also known as Think Pair Share), or use a target to determine the learners' level of knowledge or conduct a quick session evaluation, for example. No additional app is required for use by teachers or learners.

Handling of data
ONCOO and the ONCOO apps do not collect any personal data.
To keep the use of the applications as simple as possible, no login or registration is necessary. No personal data is requested. The use of ONCOO is therefore anonymous.
We have deliberately decided not to use passwords or logins in order to make the use of the methods as simple as possible. However, this means that the results (e.g., from card queries or learning tempo duets) can be viewed and, if necessary, manipulated by anyone who has the access code. We ask you to take this into account.
For administrative purposes and to improve our tools, we (the ONCOO team) can view the content and results. ONCOO does not evaluate the content or pass on the results!
