This question is suitable for use if it is considered important to name the terms exactly. 
The students need to use the exact spelling because ILIAS cannot recognize whether a mistake is a content or spelling mistake. Blank spaces after a word input can also be recognized as a mistake. Therefore, it is important to convey this matter to students to avoid misunderstandings. The question type is not suitable for questions where it is not clear what terms are involved. Furthermore, it is not possible to enter further answers that are deemed to be correct in this question type like in a Cloze Question. For example, questions asking for terms that have synonyms, such as “shrimps” and “prawns”, will not be carried out correctly using this question type.

Students can be asked to select something on an image using a Hotspot/Image Map Question.
It is important here, just like in other questions,to not forget to insert wrong answer options. The Image Map Question can also be assessed completely automatically. Please note that the underlying image must have a fixed size to allow the system to display the selected area correctly. In this way, the images will not be automatically shrunk on small screens. It is advisable to select images that are not too large or to inform participants that certain parts of the online materials should be accessed on devices with large screens. The difficulty level of these questions can be increased by placing a large number of clickable areas. Not specifying how many areas are to be selected can also further increase the questions’ difficulty level.
