Abstract

The CRC-TR-211 on “Strong-interaction matter under extreme conditions” covers theoretical physics in different fields from lattice gauge field calculations via effective theories to heavy-ion physics and cosmology. The challenges for data management are the huge data sets of up to several terabytes per file and the heterogeneous methodology. All developments have to be applied within the context of an international community that partially has already developed standards. The poster contains the data management policy that has been applied since beginning of 2020 providing specific rules on how to store data and workflow. In addition, open software development is introduced. To ensure that young scientists learn the proper handling of research data from the very beginning, a very successful series of pedagogical talks is offered.
