How to use the University Library?

Introduction

Welcome to the University Library (the "UB")!

  • Know the basics and requirements for using the Library at the University of Marburg
  • Be able to find your way around the University Library building
  • Get an overview of the University Library's offers and services
  • Find and use media via the Library Catalog (Katalog Plus)
  • The learning module is divided into six thematic chapters, which you can work through in any order you like.
  • The individual chapters are based on short info texts and video tutorials, which are supplemented by tasks, tips and further information.
  • A text version or subtitle track for the videos is available.
  • Each chapter begins with an overview of the learning content and learning objectives, step-by-step instructions for implementation and a reference to the respective exercises.
  • As a university member, you can finish the learning module by successfully completing the exercises with a certificate. 
  • Be sure to work on the exercises while you go through the learning module.
  • You can save the entire learning module or sections of it as a PDF by using the "Print view" option.

In order to receive a certificate for this course, you must successfully complete the accompanying exercises. To do this, log in to ILIAS. There are two exercises for each of the six chapters.
Be sure to work on the exercises while you go through the learning module, not afterwards.
