Live Voting lets you pose questions to class and have them be answered pseudonymically via mobile devices.

Since the videos are in German, please follow the English descriptions below.
  1. Click on “Add New Item” and then choose “LiveVoting” from the list.
  2. Assign a title to the LiveVoting and confirm your entry by clicking on “Add”.
  3. Now you have a container that can be filled with various questions.
  1. To add questions to your LiveVoting, click on the “Content” tab. Afterwards, choose the “Manage” sub-tab and then click on the “Add Question” button.
  2. You now have a selection of five question types. In this video, we would deal with Single/Multiple Choice questions. Choose “Single/Multiple Choice” to select this question type. Then, click on “Select Type” to confirm your entry.
  3. Assign a title (please note that this is not the question itself). Write the question in the corresponding field below the title.
  4. You can create a multiple-choice question out of a single-choice question by clicking on the “Multiple Selection” check-box.
  5. In the “Options” field below, you can insert or delete an answer option by clicking on the plus and minus symbols. You can determine the order of the answer options by utilizing the arrows.
  6. Click on “Create” to confirm your entry.

  5. In the “Options” field below, you can insert or delete an answer option by clicking on the plus and minus symbols. You can determine the order of the answer options by utilizing the arrows.

  7. Each participant allocates points according to the prioritization level (the least important: one point, second-least important: two points, etc). In the end, the points from all participants will be summed to gain an overview of the accumulated points of each category and where the participants’ entire priorities lie.

  4. Determine how many columns for possible answers should be displayed and if the system should shuffle the order of the options.
  5. In the “Options” field below, you can insert or delete an answer option by clicking on the plus and minus symbols. You can determine the order of the answer options by utilizing the arrows.
  6. Click on “Create” to confirm your entry.
  7. After answering the question, only the number of participants that answer the question correctly and wrongly will be displayed on the presentation screen.

  2. You now have a selection of five question types. In this video, we would deal with estimation questions. Choose “Number Range” to select this question type. Then, click on “Select Type” to confirm your entry.
  3. Assign a title (please note that this is not the question itself). Write the question in the corresponding field below the title.

Then, you should determine if the estimation answer should be in percentage and how the answers should be displayed (Option 1: numbers in ascending order, Option 2: including mean, median, and mode, Option 3: estimation area will be divided automatically into segments, which will then be displayed as a bar chart).
  5. Additionally, you can determine the number range and steps in the section below.
  6. Click on “Create” to confirm your entry.
  1. After completing the question creation, switch from the “Content” sub-tab to the “Show” sub-tab.
  2. By clicking on “Questions” and choosing a question, you can skip to the selected question.
  3. Click on “Start LiveVoting”.
  4. Here you can display the QR code and short URL by clicking on the magnifying glass symbol.
  5. Begin your vote by clicking on “Vote”.
  6. To view the voting results, click on “Show Results”.
  1. To take part in a Live-Voting, scan the QR-code or type in the link in your browser.
  2. Wait until the Live-Voting is active.
  3. This is how you can answer the following questions:
    1. Single/Multiple Choice: choose one or multiple answers.
    2. Free input question: type in a text in the corresponding field.
    3. Priority question: determine the priority by drag-and-dropping the options.
    4. Estimating question: determine your estimation by sliding the slider controller.
  4. Please note that the result will be displayed on the presentation screen. You cannot view the result on your screen.
