Research Data Management - an Online-Introduction (HeFDI Data Learning Materials)
This course can be used without registration.
Reiter
Dear teachers and students,
Typical questions that we encounter time and again in our work at the Service Center for Digitally Supported Research include the following:
What actually is research data management?
Why is it important?
What do I get out of it?
How can I incorporate it into my teaching?
I have to write something about research data management in my third-party funding application - do you have any ideas about what I can write?
To address these various questions, you will find a learning module here as an initial introduction to the topic of research data management. You can work through it for yourself, return to it again and again when you have specific questions or use it in your teaching. Individual chapters or even the entire WBT can be worked through in an inverted classroom scenario before a course, for example, in order to deepen the content and subject matter during class time. It is also conceivable to use the introduction offered here as a basis for topic-specific work (for example in the form of presentations or online-supported products such as a data management plan). We explicitly encourage you to reuse, modify and expand the learning module in all possible ways, to adapt it to your needs and to extend it to your own discipline in a practical way.
If you have any questions, comments or remarks, would like support, criticism or would like to tell us about your re-use, please contact the Service Center for Digitally Supported Research. We are very interested in your opinion. We can also provide you with the installation file for an ILIAS course so that you can implement this course according to your own ideas.
Have fun using it in your teaching or working through it!
